Oxford, ME – DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM Racing team had a disappointing effort last Sunday at Oxford Plains Speedway in the Speedway Homes 150. After fighting issues with tires throughout the 150 lap feature event, Shaw was bounced around on a late race restart and finished 21st of the 40 cars that started the race. Rain had already postponed the event from Saturday to Sunday, but it was a beautiful day for the first major short track event of the season in Maine.  After starting on the pole for his heat race, Shaw lead the early going before eventual feature winner Reid Lanpher’s #59 caught up and got around him with just five laps remaining. Shaw held on to finish second to give him a fifth place starting spot for the Speedway Homes 150. At the start, Shaw fought hard to grab fourth and rode in the top five throughout the race’s opening stages. After a few quick cautions before lap 50, Shaw found himself in the sixth spot trying to hold in with the race leaders. He was in a great position to finish in the top 10 throughout most of the race. However, when a caution flew on lap 85 for Joey Pole’s blown engine while leading the event, Shaw was in for a struggle to hold serve in the top ten. After that restart, he was bounced back to 11th, and held off many competitors while continuing to fight tooth and nail for a top ten finish. He was riding in 11th before another caution flew with just 30 laps to go and Shaw could not hold his car on the bottom, fighting through the race’s final laps to finish a disappointing 21st. The Precision JLM Racing team will be set for a rebound this weekend in the PASS 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. The 300 is typically a fall race, but has moved up to this weekend for the first time this year. Last year in the 300 in September, Shaw was a fixture in the battle for the lead and finished second in the end, and in the spring race he pulled off one of the most improbable of victories after restarting third with just four laps remaining to grab the race lead and take home the win. The PASS 300 features are set for 3PM on Saturday, April 29th. For more information, news and their online store, visit and follow them on Facebook at Precision JLM Racing.
