Seekonk, MA – DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM Racing team pulled double duty this week at two different tracks in two different states. After the Pro All Stars Series event at Beech Ridge on Saturday night was postponed until Tuesday night due to rain, the team made it work and raced at Beech Ridge and then raced at Seekonk Speedway on Wednesday night. The result was two top five finishes for the team in a few wild finishes. Shaw went into the PASS race at Beech Ridge as the defending winner there and would start from the 11th spot on Tuesday night in the 150 lap Pro All Stars Series feature event.  He would make some moves early to get himself just outside of the top five.  The team came in for a pit stop midway through the race to fix a tight handling race car and sent Shaw back on the track. Using some timely cautions at the end of the race to his advantage, Shaw was able to drive through to a fifth place finish. On Wednesday, the team traveled down to Seekonk, Massachusetts for the Pro Stock Nationals 200 lap feature event with $10,000 going to the winner.  Driving a newly acquired car originally built by Dale and DJ Shaw, the team was pressed to get it ready for the 200 lap feature and used every practice they had at their disposal to get it just right for DJ’s liking. After time trials, Shaw would start from the second spot in his heat race and finish there to get a fourth place starting start in the feature event.  Throughout the first 100 laps before the break, Shaw held in the fourth spot and worked to keep his nose clean to get ready for the second 100.  The team made more adjustments to the car for the second 100 laps, but Shaw couldn’t advance forward and decided to pit with just 36 laps left when the field was slowed by caution. After starting from the rear, Shaw drove his way back through the field and was back into the top five for the races final restart on lap 196.  After a wild finish between the leaders, Shaw drove through clean and finished the race in the third position! With his fifth place finish on Tuesday night, Shaw regained the points lead in the PASS North standings over Mike Hopkins. The next race for the Precision JLM Racing team will be on July 23rd at White Mountain Motorsports Park.  Shaw is a former track champion at White Mountain and he has consistently been a threat there each time they compete there For more information, news and their online store, visit the all new and follow them on Facebook at Precision JLM Racing.
